That line ‘tastes like chicken’ has become a part of our culture to describe any kind of meat dishes that aren’t made with chicken, yet taste nearly exactly like our favorite kind of meat. Why is it that we think that many of these substitute white meats like tofu tastes like chicken? Lets explore that.
Because nearly all of us have grown up eating chicken in almost every way you can think of; every shape, and form – besides raw and with feathers. Chicken is takes the cake as being the most versatile meat used in recipes and will persevere in this ranking as long as it remains comparatively inexpensive .
